Eramet Marietta's Vision for the Future
In August 2008, we made a commitment to our local community and our valued employees to continue to strive to make Eramet Marietta a sustainable facility capable of leading our industry for decades to come. The objectives of the vision included installing state-of-the-art manganese alloy furnace production, further developing our refining technology and possibly restructuring the overall plant layout.
This continues to be an an aggressive plan of investments and restructuring designed to dramatically improve the operational and environmental performance of the Eramet Marietta facility. All outlined projects announced remain contingent upon a variety of conditions, including market support, adequate financial performance, state and federal regulatory approvals and support, and stable energy prices. And while the economic climate in the US since announcing this vision forced us to shift focus, the goal remains the same.
